In 2019, I contributed to the graphic design of the visual identity for The Studio Museum in Harlem’s Gala in New York City. Working under the creative direction of WSDIA, the identity drew inspiration from the under-construction tape commonly found on building sites, referencing the museum’s new building as it was under construction at the time of the event. The design system translated this temporary architectural language into a bold, graphic expression which, paired with an elegant serif typeface, framed the gala as a celebration of transition and progress.
